National Switchgear Celebrates 25 Years of Growth

Lewisville, TX (January 10, 2011) National Switchgear (NSG), the most preferred electrical service provider in the marketplace today, is extremely proud to announce the celebration of its 25^th anniversary.

Founded in 1986, NSG began with the primary focus of serving the electrical service shop industry with quality surplus circuit breakers and replacement parts.

“Our mission was pretty simple,” Doug Powell, co-founder and president, explained. “To operate with integrity and provide our customers with unparalleled responsive service and quality equipment.”

The company has done that and more by growing steadily over the years, both in size and in distinction. By 1994 NSG had outgrown its original location and relocated its corporate offices, warehouse and service shop to a 5-acre parcel with a 45,000 square foot facility. Two years later, a new division was created that responded to its growing client needs. That division focused on full-service electrical testing and onsite electrical maintenance services. Only a few years later, in 1998, the company initiated their Engineering and Design Services group, providing power systems, arc flash studies, and innovative-engineered solutions to their industrial and utility customers.

Today, NSG is an industry leading equipment supplier, supplying new OEM electrical equipment and repurposed switchgear, circuit breakers and related parts. NSG provides the latest in safety knowledge, equipment upgrades, reliability testing, and the best technical experts in the industry. While the anniversary date isn’t until April of 2011, NSG has a number of events planned throughout the year for both clients and staff. Kicking off the yearlong celebration, NSG made its sponsorship debut into action sports by signing on as the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series Primary Sponsor for the team known as Violation1.com/Shea Racing/National Switchgear.
